Lambs Farm is pleased to welcome groups of all sizes to help with ongoing needs including maintenances, landscaping and painting, as well as special projects. Volunteer opportunities can be customized to meet your needs, abilities and availabilities.

Ongoing Individual and Special Project Opportunities

Farmyard Assistant
The Farmyard needs your help during the fall season (September & October) with the following:
Saturdays and/or Sundays – this would be on a rotating schedule and wouldn’t be in any one spot for more than an hour at a time.

  • operating the carousel (take tickets, run ride safely)
  • operating the hay station (take tickets, provide feed bags, make feed bags)
  • manning the SAP (small animal pen) or Discovery Center (holding animals for customers to pet)

Professional Painter for Carousel Horses at Farmyard
Must be 18 years or older. Supplies provided.

Magnolia Cafe & Bakery
Saturdays and Sundays 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Help as a greeter, wait staff or busser at our friendly Magnolia Cafe & Bakery. Volunteers wear a white shirt, black pants and comfortable shoes.

Gardener needed to help tend to a sustainable garden at the Magnolia Cafe, on a weekly basis beginning in July through fall. Must be 18 years or older. Volunteer application and background check required.

Gardeners wanted! Volunteers are needed to tend to the gardens, flowers and plants at Lambs Farm.

Help with general cleaning duties at our residences. Flexible hours and days.

Recreation/Special Olympics
(Minimum age is 18)

Volunteers must be patient, enthusiastic and caring, and athletically minded. Physical education or special education instructors are encouraged to explore this opportunity. You will work with our teams during practice and at competition.

Cedar Chest Thrift Shop
Daily, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Help sort, tag and place items in our wonderful thrift shop. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Hours are flexible.

Copying Assistant in our Training Department
A few hours a week (flexible), must be 18 years or older, able to manage volume of copies, training provided on copiers.

Health Services Department: Clerical Assistance
Filing, purging etc. Few hours per week, a couple times a month. Must be 18 years or older.
