Despite the cool and rainy weather, more than 350 Lambs Farm staff and volunteers took to intersections and store fronts throughout Chicagoland during Popcorn Days. And the efforts paid off with more than $40,000 raised for Lambs Farm’s programs.
On April 20 and 21, chances are you saw our numerous volunteers at intersections or store fronts donning our green and white vests, inviting others to learn about Lambs Farm and give a donation. With each added coin or dollar, donors received a bag of delicious caramel corn from The Popcorn Factory. The money raised will support our programs and services which provide a full and enriching life for our men and women.
Thank you to our many volunteers, and our captains who helped to identify locations and recruited their friends and family members. Our captains: Dale and Frances Dellutri, Martha Fox, Betty Gallagher, Gail Galter, Stephanie Henrichs, Marilyn Henry, Pat and Meg Kerber, Tammy Salyer, Marilyn Schleiden, Lise Thorsen, Sarah Verschoor, and Dick Willix. Thank you to our special helpers: Courtney Shear and Carly Shless.
We are planning for next year’s event. If you’re interested in volunteering or being a captain, please contact Kathy McMeins at 847.990.3749 or email.
