Volunteering at Lambs Farm can be
a rewarding experience for individuals, families, corporate
groups, and community organizations on a daily, weekly,
monthly, yearly, or seasonal schedule. Located just
35 miles north of Chicago, Lambs Farm offers unique
volunteer opportunities including:
Special Group Projects
Lambs Farm needs groups of all sizes to help with maintenance,
landscaping, painting, and a wide variety of other special
projects. We can customize this opportunity to meet
your specific needs and availabilities.

Project Opportunities
Administrative Assistants
Help in Quality Assurance Program Services or Operations
departments, do office work, utilize your computer skills,
organize literature, or manage press clipping archives.
Flexible hours and days. (Min. age 16)
Development Department Administrative
Assistant
Help with typing, filing, and other clerical duties
as needed. Flexible weekday hours between 8:30am and
5:00pm are available. (Min. age 18)
Country Inn Restaurant
Fridays 4:30pm – 8:30pm, Weekends 8:00am –
3:00pm, Saturdays 4:30pm – 8:30pm, Country Inn
Restaurant at Lambs Farm
Help out as a greeter, wait staff or busser at Lambs
Farm’s friendly Country Inn Restaurant. (Min.
age 14. Volunteers wear a white shirt, black pants and
comfortable shoes.)
Farmyard
Docents are needed to give guided tours of the Farmyard
to visiting groups as well as staff the Discovery Center.
Regular commitment needed. Min. age 18
Landscaping
Gardeners wanted! Volunteers are needed to tend to the
gardens on campus at
Lambs Farm.
Maintenance
Weekdays and Weekends 8:00am – 5:00pm,
Grounds of Lambs Farm
Help out with general cleaning duties at our community
residence. Flexible hours and days. (Min. age 14)
Quest
Volunteers are needed to assist instructors in a wide
variety of classes and activities
offered to Participants. Three-month weekly commitment
required. (Min. age 18)
Recreation Volunteer
Late afternoon and early evening between 3:00pm
and 7:00pm
Volunteers are needed to assist with exercise, athletic
and leisure activities, help coach sports, help design
and implement new and exciting activities. Volunteers
must be patient, enthusiastic and caring, and be athletic
minded. Physical education or special education instructors
are encouraged to explore this opportunity.
Special Olympics Volunteer
The Recreation Department at Lambs Farm is looking for
great volunteers to work with our Special Olympics Teams.
Lambs Farm Special Olympics Track & Field and Special
Olympics Bocce Ball practices begin in March. We will
need volunteers for the following times:
Bocce - Mondays & Wednesdays in March from 6:00-6:45pm
Track & Field - Tuesdays & Thursdays in March
from 4:00-4:45pm and 6:00-6:45pm
Thrift Shop
Tuesdays - Saturdays 10:00am – 5:00pm, Thrift
Shop of Lambs Farm
Help sorting, tagging and placing items in Lambs Farm’s
wonderful thrift shop. Hours are flexible. (Min. age
16. Volunteers wear comfortable clothing and shoes.)
Brochure Placement
We need volunteers to research placement of Lambs Farm
literature in local businesses and to stock literature
displays. (Min. age 18)
