Volunteers celebrate MLK Day at Lambs Farm

Comments Off on Volunteers celebrate MLK Day at Lambs Farm

Volunteers from the Youth Conservation Corp visited Lambs Farm to do community service in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holidays. The group,  made up of managers from Lake County Starbucks stores, worked to clean, organize and otherwise beautify the Country Inn Restaurant and Pet Shop.

Youth Conservation Corp volunteers visit our campus every year to work for a few hours in the businesses. In addition to the help they provide, they visit with our Participants and have an opportunity to learn and really see Lambs Farm’s mission in action.

Elizabeth Thomas said that she had been to Lambs Farm before, and knows some of our
employees, but it was the opportunity to learn more about our programs that meant a lot to her. “I really didn’t know the full range of what you do. It makes supporting your operations more special,” Thomas said.

Thanks to Youth Conservation Corp for their continued support, and to those individuals who gave their precious time in support of our organization. If you’re interested in volunteering at Lambs Farm, please contact Angela Ramert at 847.990.3864 or email.
