Students from The McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science at Northwestern University recently designed a tool to help Participants with counting and sorting. Out of many applicants, Northwestern chose Lambs Farm because they really liked the original concept created by Dietitian Darlene Holop and saw an opportunity to improve it.
The concept is based around a lazy Susan onto a rotating base of numbered sections. This allows our Participants to easily sort items such as food for a twelve person group home.
“I love this idea they came up with,” Holop said. “It’s an improvement to which we had prior and it makes our Participants jobs easier!”
