DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT:
We are seeking a candidate to serve as the Director of Development, responsible for all development efforts of the organization. The Director works to further develop a program to increase awareness and support of the mission through a variety of fundraising efforts including various annual events in order to meet targeted goals. Must be able to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts. The ideal candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills, and an ability to relate to all levels of staff, members of the Board of Directors, donors, and representatives of various agencies, businesses and organizations. Successful experience in personal, face-to-face major gift solicitations required with capital campaign experience a plus. The candidate should have knowledge of general development practices, experience in supervising staff, an understanding of gift accounting and processes, and a proficiency in managing a database and generating reports. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge software is preferred. A Bachelor Degree in Communication, Fundraising or a related field and a minimum of five years experience in development required. Position reports directly to the President and CEO.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
We are seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to join the Education and Training Department. Overview of duties: Maintain Access database through registration activities and Employee record-keeping/archiving, produce class lists, create monthly reports and track certification courses. Serve as a point of contact for general inquires regarding the Training Department’s services and course/certification requirements. Create and maintain training calendars, curriculum masters and copy materials for training classes. Additional activities include providing administrative support to the Manager of Quality Assurance for other Training Department initiatives, duties, and projects.
This position requires: a minimum of 2 years of college or High School Diploma with relevant experience; proficient in using Internet browsers and search applications; Microsoft Access, Word and Excel; Google Apps, including gmail, Google Calendar and Drive; and data entry at a minimum of 40 WPM. Familiarity with Sage ABRA, Adobe Writer and web-based tools for developing webinars (i.e., Google+ Hangouts On Air) is a plus. The ideal candidate will compliment a professional working environment where attitude, work ethic and accountability matter.
ASSISTANT MANAGER – THRIFT STORE:
We are seeking an Assistant Manager for the Lambs Farm Thrift Store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the day to day management which includes sorting of donations, pricing, merchandising, customer service, supervision of participants and volunteers. Responsibilities are: Supervision of participants and volunteers in daily operating procedures, merchandising, quality control, and ordering of supplies, assist manager with budgeting process and monthly financial performance review. Maintain customer service standards and practices for the store. Ensures all resolutions are handled expediently and within appropriate customer service guidelines. Pricing of merchandise to ensure adherence to store guidelines. Recruiting and scheduling of volunteers. Work with manager regarding marketing, visual display, store promotions and sales projections. Responsible for organization and cleanliness of store. Adhere to departmental budget. Oversee scheduling of pick-ups and deliveries to assure customer satisfaction. Corresponds with donors, sends thank you letters and solicit additional or new donations when and where appropriate. Help provide a safe work environment for staff, participants and volunteers. We are seeking a part time employee for the Farmyard & Attractions at Lambs Farm. Experience in public interaction required. Candidate must demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to perform tasks independently. As a part time employee, you will be responsible for a variety of daily job tasks, which include: daily animal care (providing food, water and a clean living area), daily operations upkeep (ensuring a clean and tidy workplace, clean and uncluttered public space for visitors, checking and tending to public amenities), monthly feed/supply deliveries (must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. for extended periods of time while performing repetitive movements), provide customer service (answer questions, cashiering, operating rides), assist with tracking feed and supplies, and supervise adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a caring individual to assist adults with developmental disabilities to achieve their personal goals and daily living skills. The ideal candidate should be creative, energetic, and a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. You must show proof of a high school diploma or equivalent upon hire. One to two years related experience preferred. DSP certification also preferred. Paid DSP certification training program is available (classes held Monday-Friday during normal business hours). You must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, pass a criminal background check, physical and drug screening. Starting rate is $10.33 per hour. Part time and full time 2nd and 3rd shift positions that include working weekends available.
We are seeking a part-time Registered Nurse. This would be a perfect position for a stay-at-home mom/dad, retired or someone looking to add a small second job to provide you with a little extra cash and also be very rewarding at the same time. Preferred candidate must be currently registered in the State of Illinois as an RN. Knowledge of ICF/DD regulations is preferred but not required. Sixteen hours per pay-period can be guaranteed (and additional hours can be made to do coverage as desired) This position is required to work every other Sunday evening – hours negotiable but at least 4-5 hours until around 9 pm.
RECREATION SPECIALIST PART TIME:
We are seeking a caring individual to supervise and ensure the safety of Participants utilizing the Recreation weekend programs. Empower the participants to achieving outcomes that match their interests and abilities. High school diploma and experience in the field of developmental disabilities required. Must be able to physically train and assist persons in sports and fitness activities. You must be 18, have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and pass a criminal back ground check, physical and drug screening. Paid DSP certification training program is available but you must be flexible with DSP classes for the first 120 days or employment ( class held Monday-Friday during normal business hours ).Hours: Monday – Thursday 2:30 pm – 7:00 pm and
Fridays 2:30 – 5 pm.
The Job Coach provides supported employment training for persons working in the community and on grounds. The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, and a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. You must possess skills to work independently with outside vendors. A high school diploma is required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree and one year experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. You must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, pass a criminal back ground check, physical and drug screening. You must be physically able to train persons on job tasks. Basic computer skills preferred. Starting rate is $10.33 per hour.
The Vocational Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of individual programs for person with developmental disabilities in employment settings. A Bachelor’s degree in Education or Human Services field plus one year experience working directly with people with developmental disabilities is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required. The person selected must be QIDP approved or able to complete the QIDP training within 6 months of employment. You must have a valid driver’s license with no moving violations for the previous 12 months and pass a criminal back ground check and drug test.
