HEALTH SERVICES ASSISTANT – PART TIME
Assist with miscellaneous clerical duties of a medical office. This position will include transporting and accompanying Participants to their medical, dental, and ancillary appointments or procedures. Must be able to communicate to health practitioners the needs of the participants and report health appointment outcomes in detail. Ideal candidate must be able to physically assist participants when required, have initiative, excellent attendance; detail oriented and able to work independently. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Basic computer skills – Microsoft Word and e-mail, Excel and/or Access a definite plus. Must be able speak, read, and write English. Satisfactory completion of paid DSP training within 120 days of employment required. Valid driver’s license with no moving violations for the past 12 months required. Guaranteed 29 hours per week; daytime hours between 9 and 5 pm Monday through Friday (days and hours negotiable).
HUMAN RESOURCES RECRUITER/ ASSISTANT – PART TIME
The ideal candidate for this position should be detail oriented, have great interpersonal skills, have a positive attitude, a self-starter, extremely organized, good writing skills, and knowledge of Word and Excel. Must have a minimum of 1 year of office experience, preferably in Human Resources. Responsibilities include: recruiting for all open positions, phone screening, setting up interviews with managers, initiate and maintain all new hire and annual mandatory background checks, tracking of all applicants and interviews, monitor necessary testing, keep job postings current, be the main contact for the hiring Managers and current recruiting websites, search for new recruiting tools and job fairs, filing, and all other task to assist the HR Manager. Hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 – 3:00. Must be flexible to work extra hours if necessary.
TRAINING & ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST
We are seeking a full time Training and Administration Specialist to join the Education and Training Department.Overview of duties: Contribute to the teaching of Agency Employees and provide administrative support to the Education and Training department.
This position requires: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field and the candidate must already be QIDP approved and trained. Proficient in using Google Apps, Microsoft suite, Internet browsers and search applications. Attention to detail and data entry at a minimum of 50 WPM. The most successful Candidate will have a combination of work experience, training and interpersonal skills. Public speaking skills are essential as well as the ability to communicate information clearly. Must become certified in crisis intervention. Clerical duties vary and include: maintaining Microsoft Access database through registration activities, Employee record keeping/archiving, supporting Agency Instructors through material copying and processing and proving certificates for training courses as well as providing administrative support to the Manager of Quality Assurance for department initiatives, duties and projects.
Hours: M-F 7:30am – 3:30pm occasional Saturday class required
HOUSEKEEPER – FULL TIME
We are seeking an individual that is experienced and has knowledge in housekeeping/janitorial cleaning tasks. You must have experience in operating commercial rotary floor scrubbing equipment and carpet extraction machines. You must be a self-starter with ability to follow directions. In addition, must be able to verbally communicate to and direct the activities of adults with developmental disabilities. You must have a valid driver’s license with no moving violations for past 12 months and must pass a criminal background check and drug screening. Full time hours: 9 am – 5:30 pm.
This position will assist with repair, service and maintenance of all Lambs Farm buildings, with an emphasis on plumbing and experience with painting and taping skills. Experience in all types of maintenance such as, but not limited to: overhauls, installation and troubleshooting, including basic electrical and carpentry (layout, rough framing and trim). Background knowledge of HVAC work and controls appreciated. Grounds work includes, but is not limited to: lawn care, trees, shrubs, litter and garbage removal. Snow and ice removal in inclement weather. You must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past 12 months. You must be able to pass a criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical and drug screening. This is a full time position.
ASSISTANT MANAGER, PET ADOPTION CENTER
Manage day-to-day operations of Lambs Farm’s Garden & Pet Center. Responsibilities include the management of the pet rescue program including facilitating the adoption process and encouraging the purchase of necessary supplies. Other duties include animal care, merchandising, customer service, inventory control and training/supervision of staff and participants of Lambs Farm. This position also assists the manager with budgeting and financial performance reviews. Ideal candidates must possess excellent customer service, management and planning skills and have two or more years experience in retail sales and animal care.
BAKERY/COUNTRY STORE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
We are seeking an individual to assist in production of consistently high quality specialty foods including chocolate products as well as sauces, spreads, and baked good items. You would provide training and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities and must be able to work independently. A High School diploma or equivalent with experience in food production is required. You must have or obtain a sanitation certificate within 6 months of hire and be able to lift at least 50 lbs. You must have a valid driver’s license free of moving violations for previous 12 months.
MAGNOLIA CAFE WAIT STAFF – PART TIME
Join the team at the Magnolia Café & Bakery, which is a full service family restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, Friday and Saturday dinners and banquets. We are seeking a part-time server.
The person selected for this position is responsible for the behavior and residential programming for a select caseload of Participants. Duties include behavior plan creation and monitoring, Individual Service Plan creation and monitoring, Participant assessment, coordination of both necessary and preferred activities for the individuals on the caseload, and direct care as needed. Minimum requirements for the position include one year of experience working directly with people who have a diagnosis of an Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability, a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record for previous 12 months, pass a criminal back ground check, physical and drug screening. The person selected must be QIDP approved at hire and then successfully complete the 40 hour QIDP Orientation course within six months of hire. Training as needed will be provided by Lambs Farm.
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
We are seeking a caring individual to assist adults with developmental disabilities to achieve their personal goals and daily living skills. The ideal candidate should be creative, energetic, and a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. One to two years related experience preferred. DSP certification also preferred. Paid DSP certification training program is available (classes held Monday-Friday during normal business hours). You must show proof of a high school diploma or equivalent upon hire. You must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, pass a criminal background check, physical and drug screening. Part time and full time 2nd and 3rd shift positions that include working weekends available. Starting pay is $10.33/hour. Salary is higher with experience and DSP Certification.
We are seeking an individual to provide senior/retirement services. The ideal candidate should be creative, energetic, and a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. One year related working experience required and DSP certification is a plus. Experience with ADL’s is desirable. You must be physically able to train persons on job tasks, have effective verbal, written and computer skills plus a valid driver’s license, with a good driving record.
The Vocational Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of individual programs for persons with Developmental Disabilities, in employment settings. A Bachelor’s degree in Education or Human Services is required. One year of experience working with the Developmentally Disabled population is required. Working knowledge or Microsoft Word and Excel are necessary. The individual hired for this position must be QIDP approved or able to complete the required training, within 6 months of hire date. You must have a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
The Job Coach provides supported employment training for persons working in the community and on grounds. The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, and a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. You must possess skills to work independently with outside vendors. A High School diploma is required. Associate or Bachelor's degree and one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. You must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, pass a criminal background check, physical and drug screening. You must be physically able to train persons on job tasks. Basic computer skills preferred. Salary starts at $10.33 per hour.
RECREATION SPECIALIST – WEEKEND PART TIME
We are seeking a caring individual to both supervise and ensure the safety of the Participants who utilize the Weekend Recreation programs. The individual will also be responsible for encouraging and empowering the Participants to achieve their recreational interests. High school diploma required. Experience in the field of developmental disabilities desired. Must be able to physically assist the Participants in all activities. You must be 18 and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, pass a criminal back ground check and a drug screening. Paid DSP certification training program is available but you must be flexible with DSP classes for the first 120 days or employment (classes are held Monday-Friday during normal business hours).
Hours: Fridays- 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Saturdays- 9am to 5pm, Sundays- 1pm to 5pm
