Our annual Bunny Brunch was a success once again this year, proving to be an attraction for new and returning young families. Each family not only enjoyed the large buffet at Magnolia Café and Bakery, they were also able to make Easter crafts, take pictures with Mr. Bunny and pet the one-week-old lamb Stonewall Jackson.
Some families have attended the Bunny Brunch for years! One local family said they have come to Lambs Farm for generations to enjoy the restaurant and they are excited about the addition of events like the Bunny Brunch, so they can bring all children and grandchildren to experience Lambs Farm.
Another family from Elk Grove Village, IL have attended the Brunch for 18 years because “it is fun and it all goes to a great cause.” Their son, who is now attending college in Indiana, even came home Thursday night in order to come with his family to Bunny Brunch as part of their tradition. The mom’s hope is that one day her sons will bring their kids here as well.
Bunny Brunch would not be possible without all the volunteer help. Forty six total volunteers helped in the craft room and in the restaurant to make our weekend a success.
Two first time volunteers from Carmel High School in Mundelein, IL stated that they came to volunteer because many of their friends have had great experiences at Lambs Farm volunteering in the past and they wanted to experience it as well.
Another family from Vernon Hills, IL have volunteered for the past four years during Bunny Brunch and they come at least three other times during the year to help with various events.
Overall, Bunny Brunch continues to have a strong reputation that attracts new attendees and volunteers. Thank you to all who made it out and we cannot wait to see you next year!
